The Wakeland family, Pastor Mike, Cathie and their two children, served as missionaries with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod World Missions in Costa Rica, Venezuela and Mexico. While in Mexico, Pastor Mike also served as Area Director for Central America and Panama.
Before accepting the call to New Life, Pastor Mike served as the assistant pastor of Praise Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Cathie is a teacher at Zion Lutheran School, Fort Wayne.
